Welcome to the music part of my closet. I cannot take much credit for the “music” aspect, but the lyrics are mine and I have loved listening to them come to life through the magic of Artificial Intelligence. I know some you that wander in will find that an absolute insult to those musicians who pour their heart and soul into their instruments and I completely understand. If you would like to collaborate on a piece, by all means, let me know! I just love how music can tell stories and how those stories can connect to different people in different ways. I love creating all kinds of lyrics. Most came from poems that I had written and
then just converting those poems to lyrics and plugged them into the Suno app.

When I Get There is from a Facebook post by Rocky Lucas well over a decade ago. He had lost a good friend, Troy Jones and his father-in-law, Papa Joe, and he had written that he would see them again…when he get there. I was moved to write the lyrics and Rocky actually produced an incredible studio recording with Rocky singing lead. That dude can sing!
Asphalt Cowboy

Asphalt Cowboy was written during the time of COVID. If it wasn’t for those truck drivers, we would have never gotten toilet paper! HA! My father-in-law was a truck driver and I think he would have liked this song. It’s southern rock!
Honkey Tonk Heaven

Honkey Tonk Heaven was written shortly after the death of country superstar Toby Keith. I loved his music and wanted a way to honor him. Take a listen and see how many song titles you hear because it’s definitely more than one!
Silent Strings

Silent Strings was written a long time ago when I was working shiftwork with Layton Dowling. He told me about sitting on a porch with his Daddy and his brothers and how his dad started playing a tune no one had heard before. When he was done, he put the guitar away and a few weeks later he was gone. I wrote the lyrics and gave Layton a copy and I hope he likes what he hears now.
Son of a Carpenter

Son of a Carpenter was written quite a while ago and I always wondered what it might sound like. I like to sing but I don’t have the gift or talent to play an instrument. A pastor friend introduced me to Suno, and I started playing around with the app. Some of you will hate the fact that AI is used and others will just be happy to have your lyrics brought to life. Either way, I believe it’s a creative tool that can be used to bring music to life and connect with others.
